Sugar Cookies

  • Whisk in a medium bowl
    • 2 ¼ cups (281g) *spooned* flour
    • ½ tsp baking powder
    • ¼ tsp salt
  • Mix in a large bowl
    • ¾ cup (170g) unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
    • ¾ cup (150g) sugar
  • Add to large bowl
    • 1 egg, at room temperature
    • 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • Mix in dry ingredients.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Line large baking sheets with parchment paper.
  • ¼ thick cookies.
  • Bake 11 mins or until the edges of the cookies are very lightly browned. Rotate pan around 6 mins in.
